Our aim is to help people with health problems live a full-fledged life by providing them with appropriate technical aids through a personalized service. It is important for us to keep abreast of modern solutions, to improve our product selection according to the needs of our customers and to develop our professionalism in the field of mobility aids.

ITAK was founded in 1994 and contributed actively to the creation of the technical aid system in Estonia.



ITAK’s product catalogue includes over 500 different types of technical aids.



ITAK has 9 different service points in the following towns in Estonia: Tartu (2), Võru, Põlva, Jõgeva, Valga, Viljandi, Jõhvi and Narva.

The start time of the assistive technology system in Estonia

Mati Mark, head of ITAK, visited the Swedish Danderyd Aids Center in 1992 and got to know the Assistive Technology Distribution System.

Opening the assistive devices center

In 1994, the ITAK Center, which initially employed 4 people, was created in Tartu.

The first experiences with state benefits

A private company, AS ITAK, was founded in 1997 (ITAK, Ltd.) and a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Social Affairs was signed, on the basis of which state aids were also provided for assistance.

Start time of handicapped taxi service in Estonia

In cooperation with the Tartu City Government, we began to offer an taxi service. The project was a pilot project of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

The first experience in Rehacare

Rehacare is a International trade fair for rehabilitation and care.

We visited Rehacare and found new devices

Tartu Center expanded

Expansion of the Tartu ITAK center and moving the office to new rooms.

We opened the e-shop for health products

We opened a new online store for health products at www.itak.ee

We organized a free information day in cooperation with Meyra

We organized a free information day where we introduced modern wheelchair solutions.

We opened a new center in Narva city

In the fall of 2015, Narva’s service point moved to Puškini Street. There is more space to move and look around in the new service room.

We conducted training on different children’s devices

In cooperation with Interco Gmbh, we arranged training for adjusting children’s seating position.

The ITAK specialists took part in an international workshop

This summer, our physiotherapists attended the first international Stabilo meeting

We carried out training on moving aids for the caregiver

Etac product specialist Kaido Voogla introduced various aids to ease the transition from wheelchairs to bed, and vice versa.

We opened a new center in Jõhvi city

In the summer of 2017, Jõhvi´s service point moved to Rakvere Street.
