ITAK was founded in 1994 and contributed actively to the creation of the technical aid system in Estonia.
ITAK’s product catalogue includes over 500 different types of technical aids.
ITAK has 9 different service points in the following towns in Estonia: Tartu (2), Võru, Põlva, Jõgeva, Valga, Viljandi, Jõhvi and Narva.
ITAK serves approximately 10 000 people every month.
Mati Mark, head of ITAK, visited the Swedish Danderyd Aids Center in 1992 and got to know the Assistive Technology Distribution System.
In 1994, the ITAK Center, which initially employed 4 people, was created in Tartu.
A private company, AS ITAK, was founded in 1997 (ITAK, Ltd.) and a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Social Affairs was signed, on the basis of which state aids were also provided for assistance.
In cooperation with the Tartu City Government, we began to offer an taxi service. The project was a pilot project of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

In the fall of 2015, Narva’s service point moved to Puškini Street. There is more space to move and look around in the new service room.
In cooperation with Interco Gmbh, we arranged training for adjusting children’s seating position.
This summer, our physiotherapists attended the first international Stabilo meeting
Etac product specialist Kaido Voogla introduced various aids to ease the transition from wheelchairs to bed, and vice versa.
In the summer of 2017, Jõhvi´s service point moved to Rakvere Street.
